Faded Ronin

Faded Ronin is a musical and visual art project visualized as a lone samurai, embodying a chilled-out, wandering spirit in a world where lo-fi beats meet ancient aesthetics. The project is a solo mission by creator Brenden Gillis, who handles everything from music production and visuals to mixing and mastering.

The aesthetic blends classic samurai imagery with a hand-drawn, watercolor anime style, inspired by visual acts like Gorillaz. The sound is a journey through lo-fi hip-hop foundations, built around heavy bass and intricate rhythms, weaving in analog synths, keyboards, vintage drum machines, guitar, and bass.
